The Expectations

Description
The Wireless System Engineer will be an integral part of the technical team and will participate alongside Fastback Network’s senior engineers in the entire development cycle from feature and architectural definition through baseband algorithm design and firmware implementation to system integration including field testing. Specific tasks include development and testing of firmware implementations of algorithms for medium access control, modulation/demodulation, channel estimation and equalization, and multi-antenna processing. The Wireless System Engineer will be developing and testing actual product source code running on a state of the art 40 nm baseband SoC with 22 concurrent embedded processors, 8 FFT cores, up to 8 simultaneous antenna element channels and up to 1.4 Gb/s turbo encoding and decoding.
- Academic proficiency in digital communications, RF circuits, and electromagnetic propagation
